Aturok steped back giveing them there space feeling bad that he basically told Rune to give up when he saved his life he turned and walked away from the group and found a tree and sat down leaning against it he was so used to his own little world he never seen someone in so much pain

Max laid on his back, breathing heavily. His dreams clouded with the same energy that he could summon. His dream was a nightmare...he was being followed, hunted by an invisible darkness. His face contorted in fear. The forest it’self seemed to reach out and try to grab him, swipe him up and kill him. Then there was something, a raven swooped from the sky and Landed on his shoulder, and Max’s face turned from contorted into pleasure…it was an act. He blasted his pursuer’s sky high, and bent the shadow so he could escape…that was the end of his dream.

Max gripped his stomach in pain, obviously not a dream he thought. He tried to summon his staff but a surge of pain swiped over his right arm, blocking his from his elemental power. Max looked to his right and grabbed a branch that had fallen whenever silvian had been blasted. He pulled himself up and limped over to Silvians dead body. He knelt before his body. “ the goddess’s of the world guide you to divinity Friend…” max said, he stood up and limped back to the clearing that he had been drained of his energy, trying to figure out how he did that and how he could reverse it.

Shara walked up to Aturok and then sat down next him exhausted and trying to understand what had happened. "Dameon... betrayed us... He is no longer a guardian..."[i/] She started to laugh now. [i]"I don't even know what it mean to be a guardian any more.. Deamaria gone..." Shara explained and then sighed.

Aturok looked down at the dirt beneath his feet "it dosent have to mean anything....you are the guardians...the pride the gem of our world the things you all stood for so many looked up to you and the others...the sacrafice you all gave up...ive trained my whole life to be a guardian in hopes that one day someone would look onto me and know i made a diffrence..." he looked over at her "it may be gone but your still looked upon with honor even though your once brothers are lost"

"then maybe you will think twice before you call us beasts...you lack a tail and fur and your already more of a animal i will ever be...when one is scared they should fight defensive observe the enemy..and dont be cocky dont blurt out attack me! to a stange enemy you could have been turned to dust in i instant had he used his full powers...wait..observe the enemy....dont over use you powers you wouldent have lasted 5 minutes in our world...hang around a guardian observe how they fight see thier strategys the instead of burning out your powers.." Aturok closed his mind he was getting stressed and needed to calm himself he stood up and started walking away from them he needed a walk thoughts of his home and his mate filled his mind just being away from either of them made him sick

“ I didn’t over use my powers…” max called out at Aturok…who had just walked away. “ stupid bear daemon and his stupid draining teachneak” Max said, standing up and walking away… a bit angry for an odd reason. “ if someone says there sorry, they should say something nicer… a good it wasn’t you’re fault would have surficed…” Max continued, He walked back to the aria that his energy was drained and drew a few symbols in the ground, he then sat in the middle of it cross legged, and meditated…something that you do not see a human do everyday…strange as it may be, Max felt a surge of energy corse throughout his body…he was still weak, but it was something that he was happy about. the satisfaction that his gift had not been taken away from made him rise to his feet and walk back to camp…wietther he liked it or not he was going to travel with them…they seemed to know more about the gift then he did…plus maybe he could learn from the guardian,

Aturok countinued to walk til he found a still watered pond and knelt besie it and drank til he was better he looked at his reflection in the pond seeing him surrounded by the stars in the sky as he reached his hand down to the tip of his claw barley touched the surface of the water and formed a small layer of frost as he began makeing markers in the water connecting the stars in the sky in the water he smiled as his tail wagged looking at it when he was done he sat there watching the frost slowly drift and start to melt

"So.. what are you thinking?" Rune sat down next to him. Full of sighs of relief and yet sorrow in his tone. "Wish I knew who that Bear Daemon was.. If I were only a little more powerful I would show him a thing or two.." He said but then sighed once more. Glade his golem who he hardly ever unsummed was in a white house cat form, resting on his shoulder. Rune was endeed different from most daemarians. Most Daemons summed there golems when they needed them, but Rune had his golem with him always. Most Daemons would be drained having there golem constantly out, but Rune some how grew up, managing to be able to keep his golem out always. And as other seem to see there golems as a extension of there own power or a ally they can summon and unsummon, to Rune Glade was his closest friend.

“Maybe… But I would also love to take another crack at that Daemon…” Max said, clapping his hands together only to have a strong sensation of pain ran through his body. Max looked all around him, seeing the very ‘unfamiliar’ faces around him.

Max looked nerves, pale, and he was nerves. He had spent his whole entire life in the company of humans and elves… this was a big change. Max looked over at silvian and Rune. “Umm…you guys don’t mind having a human tag along do you... I promise I wont be a hassle…I just want to learn how you guys fight so I can…avoid certain things again…really no trouble.” Max said, his hands held together in anticipation. He had already proved himself a fighter…maybe even brave which he wasn’t…but the oddest thing about him…was that he had an elemental power, which would have strike any daemon off as rather weird for only Deamons…and sometimes Demi-humans where the only ones to get the power…it even Strike Max as odd for he Never knew he had that…he knew he had power but not that type. So why did it decide to show itself…and why that day, why it couldn’t have been before the incident... these where all questions that had shouted several time’s in his head.

Max recalled that the gods didn’t guide us…so the preachers would say…but it almost seemed like an invisible hand was guiding him…and the only thing max wanted to do was fight it. So h fought his Primal nature…which was to run away, and he faced his fears…which where the legends, but that only seemed to push him forward.

Max thought of the tales of deamon…how they would slaughter villages like the beasts they where…but these ‘beasts’ as the preachers told him, where far from savages…in fact they seemed to be smarter then humans…stronger and wiser then humans…maybe max was the dumb one…maybe that’s why he wanted to learn, for he had been granted the opportunity, and he wanted to learn about the gift that he had been given.

Aturok seen a orange light off in the distance he stood up and cautiously walked towards it he approached a wagon on fire as he got closer he seen bodies scattered on the ground around it he crouched down next to the body of a woman her throat had been slit and her hands bound in chains he looked around finding afew more clearly this was a slave traders caravan something didt seem right he found charred corpses with swords in thier hands guards he figures he picked up a chain off the ground they belonged to some cuffs but they wher deformed and melted "what has happened here.." he threw the chain down and looked around clearly the caravan was attacked or someone broke free

Rune got up again now happy to see Silvian was allright. Shara was tending to both his and Kon's wounds. He suddenly noticed Aturok seemed missing and wondered were he had wondered off to. "This is no time to be wondering off now..." He said now wondering around seeing if he could track him down. He limped off into the woods and noticed tracks. There was not a doubt in his mind that they were his, and so he went after him. That was when he too saw the orange glow in a distance and then he saw him. "Atuok! Whats going on!?" He said approaching, who still had yet to see the bodies.

Aturok smelled the smoke billow off the wagon as he cast the chain down to the ground he looked over to see rune approaching and started walking towards him as he caught the sent of something else he couldent tell what it was "it was a slave trader...it was attacked by who or what i dont know" he turned back faceing the slaughter "any ideas who could have done this?

"Possibly King Tanars men..." Rune said covering his nose and mouth with his arm as he looked around at the death around him. he quickly thought back to all those guardians slain but there was no real connection. They slaughtered but not but mutilated like the Guardians were. Who ever killed the guardians, it wasn't the Bear Daemon and it was certainly not King Tanar. But this scene, seemed allot like something Tanar would do. The question was, was it and if not then who? and Why?

"from the looks of it the slavers turned on the slaves but...what killed the slavers.." he crouched down next to one of the charred corpses this time a framiliar scent filled the air as he stood up and looked around "Mayla?....shes here.." he walked towards the smell heading towards the long grass "she could be injured help me!" he started running throught the long grass as the sent got stronger he began smelling others but didnt care he had one goal he ran to a open clearing there across from them was the slender black fured female jackal wearing the traditional demarian clothing she was kneeling almost seemed in prayer with her eyes closed he smiled and ran towards her but stopped suddenly as the ground shook as the ground beneith him broke apart he jumped back as a earth golem formed infront of him blocking his path unsure of its intentions a ice sheild formed in one hand and a axe formed in the other and stood ready he wasnt sure if Rune followed him or not but he began to hope he did

"Thats the girl you were looking for?! Why she summoning a golem!?" Rune asked as Glade quickly leaped of his shoulder and shifted into a large white tiger with yellow lightning bolt like stripes that glowed and sparked, and each step it took sparked. Glade did this in order to be prepared to protect the both of them.

Aturok looked at her then at the golem "that isnt her....earth is not her element.." he took a step closer and the earthgolem hit the ground causeing it to shake soon a smaller earth golem grew from the earth beside it sound the air was filled with the sound of a roaring fire as a fire golem formed behind Rune and Aturok

a brown fured wolf deamon walked out of the grass watching them he gestured the golems to step back so he had a better look at the to "sooo...your the other traveler..this pretty young gem has told us all about you" he traced a claw over her forehead petting it and looked over at Rune and Glade "and you...the misfit wonder...." he looked back over to Aturok "i know why your here...word has come to our attention that demarias gone and its guardians are in dissaray....wich means this world is ripe for the takeing..."

"..Misfit Wonder!!?" Rune quickly wiped out his bow, as Glade Roared. "If you so think the world is for the taken King Tanar I'm sure would differ... of course ether way, I would have to kick both of your glatting Asses!" Rune now had a lightning bolt form between his hand the the bow string ready to be fired. He tried to stand up strait, but the pain in his leg was very much present. He only hoped to appear he wasn't already wounded.

the wolf laughed seeing Runes reaction and crossed his arms and looked around at the long grass surrounding them "you think we fear Tanar....he is a king.. we...we are gods!" he held out his arm as it was engulfed in flames and seemed to slither around it "we are the clan of the fallen gem..outcasts...decendants of outcasts...our world was taken from us by force by them narrow minded elders and thier laws...we see now that force is the only option..soon we will wipe the human vemin from this world and remake it in our image with our rules...and you will not be the one to stop us Rune.." he looked around again and a dozen other outcasts stepped out of the long grass some holding bows towards them others summoned thier golems as the brown wolf stepped forward "join us and we can change this world...otherwise..shoot"

Maylas eyes opened and she stood up standing between the wolf and Glade and the others as if to protect him from glade as Aturok stepped forward and held out his hand "mylove please come to me..." she shook her head and looked over at the others " no Aturok...they are right...you and i both seen it...our world is gone...there is no going back..the humans...thier evil when i gained consiousness after i went through the portal...i woke up in chains...but they saved me..."

Aturok looked at her in disbelif what he was hearing as he looked around they where clearly outnumbered and out weaponed he looked down begining to think of the offer maybe thier was something he was missing maybe joining them would be the right thing

"What you mostly likely saw was Tanar's Evil.. I don't care if you all think Tanar is just simply a King.. If that was the case I would have wiped him out my self. You who are from Deamaria know nothing about the Sayons. There the most wicked humans, they have power over beasts called the Vigerage.. but Tanar.. he is somthing more fierst. Even for you wolfman, there is not way you would be able to wipe him out. And if you choose to whipped out the humans your no better then the Sayons are! And thats another thing!! I don't care if your from deamaria or not, know one has the power or right to choose who lives or who dies! Not even a GOD!" Rune argued spitefully and then turned to Aturok. "Sorry friend but I think your girl has turned.." "You two get out of here.. I can hold him off long enough for you to get to the others... Rune That means you as well! There is no way were going to take them all one and survive." Glade roared and then snarled.

Aturok looked over at Rune and shook his head "..no..no she didnt...Mayla..please come with us we can find a way home please just dont choose this..dont make it end like this ive already lost my parents...i cant lose you to.."

She looked down as a tear streamed down her cheek but didnt move and took the pendant her gave her as a engagement gift and tossed it over to him "our paths will cross again some day...give it to me then" she turned and walked past the brown wolf dissappearing in the grass

the brown wolff smiled looking at him "foolish rune...i alone cant defeat him but when our kind unite....but it makes little diffrence now...we all have what we wanted and we are not looking for a fight but remember our offer Aturok.." he gestured for the other outcasts as one by one they dissapeared back into the grass and the elements thier golems where made of fell idle to the ground til it was just them and the brown wolf

Glade continue to snarl. "I have to say you are the foolish one.. Whats even scarier is you sound like some one I used to know.. Maybe you have heard of him.. Grias..." Rune was curious if the two were connected. It had been a long time since he had seen Grias. He seemed to have disappeared off the face of the world, for it had been at least 300 years since he last seen him. Grias was like Rune, a outcast of Deamaria. But unlike Rune, Grias had other goals in mind. He wanted a world that was all for Deamarians, and believed humans did not deserve the world. But now Grias was no where to be found, and for all Rune knew he was dead.

the wolf smiled hearing Runes insult but his ego was to high to care followed by the question
he shook his head and raised his hand and a wall of flame formed between them and seconds later died off and he was gone

"this is wrong...this is all wrong..."Aturok knelt down and scooped up the pendant and held it in his hand stareing at it he stood up fighting his saddness and hatred and turned to Rune "we should go...see if the others are alright" he walked past him and started heading towards the temple

'you have been gone for sometime' a voice said in Max's head as he silently watched aturok and the others. " Slavers...I hate Slavers!" Max said, gripping his hand as if he where going to summon his sword but no. ' Max you have disrupted the link' the voice said again, even angrier then before. " I didnt do it...that deamon did" Max retorted this time paying attention to the voice in his head. " and who are you anyway...I dont like this more then the next man...this isnt a game is it?" Max asked following aturok again. "More of a game of King Tannair...he plains something sinister younge max...something greater then the elements grips his heart...something dark..." Max rolled his eyes, this was a prophicy the gypsies told Max once, you will meet a group with hearts intent, and battle the darkness as her servent.

" yeah...I kinda figured that one out...still who are you?" the voice went silent...but then the silence was broken. " all in good time younge max...you sill have one more thing to learn...but for now call me Shira, you will see me someday soon" and with that the voice went dark. Shira...who could that even be...maybe the guardians would no more about it...

Rune fallowed limping, and finally they had found there way back at the temple were tents were now up, and they were preparing for a night of rest and recovery. Rune was now sitting down, inside the temple, and he had curious thoughts about something. A book now dried, but covered in dry mud. The Daemericon. The book that Aturok found in the remains of Daemaria. There it sat in the temple. He picked it up and sat crossed leg by the fire. There, old man Ryu was sleeping in a bed he made from blankets he had packed with him from his hut. Rune questioned if any one else was awake. He knew this book was somewhat belonging to atuok, but curious he was. He felt the leather covering with his hand, and then carefully brushed off the dried mud, and then carefully opened the book. He had never ever had the chance to set eyes on any copy of the Daemaricon before. It was a first for him. But it seemed there was something odd about this book. He noticed a few of the pages had writing that was burnt into the pages some how. And unlike the most of the book, it was written in Old Daemarian. A language that only some of the elders of Daemaria ever knew. A language only a rare number of people knew.
